CVS

I used CVS (Concurrent Version System) for quite a while. Frankly, until recently, there wasn't really any other option that gave me the set of features I wanted:

• Free.
• Works over a network.
• Allows concurrent development, even in the same files.
• The client runs on all kinds of platforms, like VMS.

Today, I'm moving from CVS to monotone, because it offers possibilities that clearly makes it a better choice.
